We save all of our silver scrap materials to create new and one-of-a-kind pieces, and the unusable pieces we send back to be refined.
We’ve also cut down on the use of chemicals in our studio. We no longer use traditional ‘pickle,’ which is a highly-toxic acid, to remove oxidation from soldered metal. We’ve switched to Citric Acid, which is naturally sourced and food safe.
We are careful to recycle any recyclable material passing through our hands, and to reuse/repurpose/find a proper home for any material that can not be recycled.
